Korea and the United States have a long history of relationships; often in a form of Korea depending on America. America had helped Korea when the North Koreans invaded our land, and since the establishment of the Korean government, Korea adapted the American democracy. Even untill now, America has a great influence on Korea's imports and exports. Japan and China is not an exception. America's circle of inflluence exceeds the lands of Asia, to Europe to even the Middle East.
FIrst, South Korea is the United States’ seventh largest two-way trading partner, while the US is South Korea’s 3rd largest. US exports of goods to South Korea are valued at roughly $43 billion, an increase of 92% from 2002. South Korea’s exports of goods to the US are worth over $58 billion, up 79% since 2002. The total value of US-South Korea two-way trade of goods and services exceeds $125 billion annually. South Korea’s trade surplus on goods with the US totaled $16 billion in 2012, while the US trade surplus on services with South Korea totaled $8 billion.
Second, 3 percent increase in U.S. imports from China also factored into the widening of the trade deficit. China's yuan currency has depreciated sharply in recent months amid concerns of a possible crash in the Chinese economy, which is the second largest in the world after America's. The widening of the U.S. trade deficit surpassed the $47.4 billion median forecast for the deficit in a Reuters poll of economists.

Services exports were $46 billion; Services imports were $27 billion. The U.S. services trade surplus with Japan was $20 billion in 2012.
