It has a population of 11,855,975, making most populous region in the philippines, and also known to be the 7th most populous metropolitan area in Asia. This region is the center of culture, economy, education and government of the Philippines. The province was honored as one of the sun rays in the Flag of the Philippines, with each of the eight symbolic sun rays representing one of the eight revolutionary provinces.
     
       
     
        
    Cordillera Administrative Region(CAR) in Luzon island and Baguio is the regional is the center. The Cordillera region is known for its unique musical instruments including the gangsa kalinga, nose flute, bamboo flute, buzzer, bangibang, tongatong, diwdiw-as, saggeypo, and bamboo zither. Tourist attractions in the region include the Banaue Rice Terraces in the province of Ifugao. The terraces is sprawling manmade structures from 2,000 to 6,000 years old.     MIMAROPA(region 4-B) is an administrative region in the Philippines. Region 4-B is famous for Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan. Puerto Princesa Underground River is part of New7Wonders of Nature.



     

    The Bicol Region(region 5) is the largest island in the Philippine archipelago. In Geology the Bicol region is volcanic in origin and part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Mayon Volcano is the most prominent of the volcanoes in the region and famous for its almost perfect conical shape and for being the most active in the Philippines.



     

    Western Visayas(region 6) is composed of six provinces and the highly urbanized cities of Bacolod and IloIlo. In Capiz province is the first class province and known as the Sea food Capital of the Philippines.




        

     

    Central Visayas(region 7) is known as the native speaker of Cebuano. Cebu is the most developed provinces in the Philippine. It is the 8th best Asian-Pacific island destination in 2005.




       

    Eastern Visayas(region 8) is primarily an agriculture region with rice, corn, coconut, sugarcane and banana as its major crops. In Samar Island have beautiful beaches and blue water.




       

    Zamboanga Peninsula(region 9) is located on the eponymous Zamboanga Peninsula of Mindanao island, that lies between the Moro Gulf(part of the Celebes Sea) and the Sulu Sea. It has the first export-processing zone in Mindanao. Farming and Fishing are the main economic activities of the region.




      

    Northern Mindanao(region 10) ha a total land area of 2,049,602 hectares (5,064,680 acres). More than 60% of Northen Mindanao's total land area are classified as forest land.It is the largest regional economy in the island of Mindanao.




        

    Davao Region(region 11) is the most populous region in Mindanao and the 11th most populous in the country. Davao is famous for their festivals




       

    SOCCSKSARGEN(region 12) is the name is located an acronym that stands for the region's four provinces and one of its city ; South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City.




      

    Caraga(region 13) is characterized by mountains areas, flat and rolling lands. The tourist attractions is surfing, Islanf-hopping, Mountain-Biking, Trekking, Scuba diving, Spelunking, Bird-watching and Events and festivals.



      

    Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has been the traditional homeland of Muslim Filipinos since the 15th century, even before the arrival of the Spanish who began to colonize most of the Philippines in 1565. This photo is in Sulu
