Boracay
The Last Eden, an Earthly Paradise
Although small in size, Boracay is famous for its White Beach, stretching about 4 kilometers. The name Boracay is said to be originated from the local word ‘bora’ meaning white cotton that matches the image of its soft and white sand. Others claimed it as ‘bora’ meaning bubbles, and ‘bocay’ which means white in local tongue. Matching its reputation for emerald beach, it has also been recognized by numerous travel agencies and magazines. The three main beaches in Boracay are the White, Phuka, and Bulabog Beach. One can enjoy the island’s relaxed and calm atmosphere and also at the same time, enjoy various leisure activities such as windsurfing, scuba diving, kiteboarding, and sailing a paraw. In addition, Boracay offers various restaurants, bars, and exotic nightlife.
